An Ayurvedic Oil Massage (Ahbyanga) consist of a full body massage using warm herbal oil uniquely formulated for your particular dosha, body type or imbalance.  There is a focus on the major marma points along the body.  Marmas are located physcially over lymph nodes and at the joints where five anatomical structures intersect: blood vessels, ligaments, muscles, nerves and bone.  This is truely a personalized treatment to  balance and stimulate. Deep Tissue Massage

Deep Tissue Massage is a form of bodywork that aims to relieve tension in the deeper layers of tissue in the body. Deep Tissue Massage is a highly effective method for releasing chronic stress areas due to misalignment, repetitive motions, and past lingering injuries. Due to the nature of the deep tissue work, open communication during the session is crucial to make sure you don’t get too uncomfortable. Keep in mind that soreness is pretty common after the treatment, and that plenty of water should be ingested to aid with the flushing and removal of toxins that will have been released from the deep tissue during the session.

Sacred Stone Therapy

Shirodhara Therapy

Shirodhara is a combination of two Sanskrit words.  'Shiro' means head.  'Dhara' means thread or 'flowing like a thread'.  Shirodhara Therapy is the flowing of warm oil like a thread on the head.  This sacred treatment uses medicated ayurvedic oils.  A steady stream of warm oil is gently guided over the third eye (6th chakra) located on the forehead and over the top of the head (crown chraka).  Shirodhara rejuvenates the the mind and nervous system, improves mental clarity eliminates diseases of the head and disorders affecting the neck, eyes, ears and nose.   Other benefits include relief from insomnia, fatigue, tension, anxiety, anger, chronic headaches, rheumatism, hypertension, asthma and hair problems.  Shirodhara helps disperse negative electrical impulses that accumulate at the base of the skull and hairline from stress, rejuvenates the entire face, softens worry lines and renews the sweetness of life.  Offered as a stand alone service or can be combined with one or more or our other spa treatments.

Lymphatic Drainage

Ear Candling

Clean burning ear candles made from natural unleached muslin, food grade wax, pure beeswax, organic herbs & homeopathic remedies all specifically chosen for quality and support of a healing enviornment.  A 'Pleasures II Wellness' Ear Candling Treatment is performed in a relaxing and pleasant environment on the massage table with the client laying on one side.  The treatment is started with a massage along the contour and base of the ear, the outer ear, the auditory canal and neck.  This massage enables one to relax  while also stimulating  the lymphatic  system.   The ancient remedy that is innovative and holistic begins when the open end of the candle is lit.   A face guard is use to keep the flame safely away from the face and hair.  Passed down from generation to generation, Native Americans used to use corn husks, Italians used cheese cloth, in India they used papyrus reeds and in Japan they used water reeds as a means to candle ears.  Current worldwide research indicates that ear candles function as an energetic modality comparable to the fields of reflexology and acupuncture.  These modalities encourage healing as the body shifts from a sypmpathetic to a parasympathetic state within the autonomic nervous system (ANS).  Ear candles have been used historically for: sinusitis, ear infections, hearing loss, pink eye, swimmers ear, headaches, magraines, runny nose, sore throats, vertigo and foriegn objects stuck in th ear.  Both ears are done to encourge balance.  Ear candling can be done on patients as young as three months old.                                                 60min.                       $75

Nasya Therapy

Nasya is nasal aministration of medications.  The nose is the door to consciousness and the pathway to our inner  pharmacy.  This treatment starts with a face head and neck massage followed by a therapeutic oil treatment applied to the nostrils to clear the sinus  passages.  General indications for Nasya Therapy are stiffness or pain in the head, neck or jaw, headache and migraine, sinus pain and congestion, toothache, loose teeth, receding gums, hoarseness of voice, twitching or drooping eyelids, tingling sensations on face, obstruction in throat, uvulitis, tonsilitis, laryngitis, pharyngitis, speech disorders and loss of speech, Bell's Palsy (facial paralysis) goiter, glaucoma pituitary or space-occupying tumor, unconsciousness/fainting, depleted sexual energy and any disorder above the clavical area.  As an add on treatment you can use steam inhalation.  As self-care nasya is often reccommended with pranayama (a yogic alternate-nostril breathing technique) that balances  and nourishes the brain.  An additional consultation is performed prior to this treatment.                                         30 min.                     $55
